Guru Arjan Dev Ji , the Fifth Guru of
sikhism was sweet,humble and a perfect blend
of devotion and sacrifice.He was hardly 18
years old when his father Guru Ramdas sahib
installed him as the Fifth Guru.Jahangir was
jealous about Guru's propogation of
sikhism.Many baseless allegations were
laveled against Guru Sahib.Guru Arjan Dev Ji
was arrested and brought to Lahoe where
Chandu tortured Him for about three days in
a manner unknown in the history of mankind. Details

is the women's dance festival of
Punjab.Giddha can be seen at its best during
the celebrations.Celebrated in the month of
Sawan when the days of summer have grown
longer and hotter ,dancing usually takes
place on the bank of some river or pond
